Based in Auckland and Northland, Gear Check NZ  is a Mobile (ON YOUR SITE) height safety equipment checking business specializing in the quality checking, recording and tagging of Height Safety PPE.

Run by Managing Director Ian Philpott we have developed standardised checking procedures for the identification of safe and unsafe PPE as set out in the Guide lines for working at height put out by Work Safe NZ and Standards NZ, requiring that all height safety equipment be checked by a competent person on a six-monthly basis.

Ian has been involved in the inspection, testing and development of ropes, Harnesses and other height safety equipment, often involving testing equipment to destruction. Ian and or any of his trained team can pick up on the finer or marginal things that lesser trained people miss, reducing the risk of gear failure and keeping your people Safe while working at height.
